Winter Activties: 3 Great Spots To Take The Kids This February

From Winter festivals and sleigh rides to mini snowmobiling, it's time to put your winter boots on and enjoy the great outdoors in and around Woodstock with these family-friendly activities.

1.) Sleigh Ride Week at Billing Farm

Join Billings Farm & Museum the week of February 13-21st for Sleigh rides and sledding with jack jumpers; tour the dairy farm and farmhouse; programs and hands-on activities; presidential cookie favorites and spiced cider. 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. They also have many all day events for kids during February vacation. 2.) Family Fun Winter Carnival at Smugglers' Notch

Smugglers' Notch brings you this special Family Fun Winter Carnival. Enjoy music and live entertainment on The Village Green. Join in the fun of face painting, interactive games, snow games, bonfire, giveaways and goody bags, plus an outdoor barbeque - all as part of your Vacation Package! Fun for all ages on February 18th, the festivities begin at 2:30pm. 

 

3.) Mini Snowmoblie Rides for Kids at Stratton Adventures

Stratton Adventures offers Snowmobiling for kids ages 5 and older and under 90 pounds can get a thrill driving around a groomed track in the Sun Bowl base area on a mini Arctic Cat snowmobile. The track is open in winter on Saturdays and holidays from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. Additional evenings and times are available through special reservation.

Children have the opportunity to drive their own Arctic Cat 120 snowmobile.
10-min MINI RIDE: Evening snowmobiling on a snow track.
25-min MINI TOUR: Evening snowmobiling both on and off-track. Enjoy 5-min riding on a lighted snow track before venturing onto the slopes of Stratton Mountain in follow the leader style behind a SST guide.
