Celebrate winter in Vermont and explore the natural world as we hike the beautiful wooded trails on the VINS campus. Learn how plants and animals survive the cold and discover some of the hidden secrets of the landscape. Weather permitting, we will explore the world on snowshoes. VINS is delighted to be working with the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm to provide you with an enjoyable evening complete with a delicious 3-course meal to end the evening. Pre-register by February 4, 2015. Where: 5:15pm - Meet at the VINS Nature Center Schedule: .5:30pm - 7:00pm .Hike the trails of the VINS Nature Center .7:30pm - 9:00pm .Enjoy a 3-course meal at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm . *Depending on the snow conditions, we will snowshoe instead of hike. Please dress warmly, a headlamp is recommended. Please indicate whether you will need to rent snowshoes from the VINS Nature Store for this event. There is an additional $3 fee to rent snowshoes from our store the day of the event.
