Newbury Arts Open Studio Weekend

Vermont Craft Council Open Studios

As part of the Vermont Crafts Council Spring Open Studio Tour, Newbury Arts will showcase the work of eight Newbury artists. Look for the yellow signs directing the way to three exhibit venues on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, May 28 & 29, from 10-5. The Vestry, First Congregational Church, 4915 Main Street (Rt 5) in Newbury Village is where you will find whimsical, colorful landscape paintings and botanical prints by Judith Lerner; fine art photography including cyanotypes by Chris Esten, large format traditional black and white photographs by John Layton, and experimental digital techniques by Jane Booth; beautiful bowls and vases by woodturner Brad Vietje, and expressive woodcarvings by Karl Neubauer along with a selection of curated artworks from his Newbury Elementary School students. Linda Bryan will open the doors to her 5225 Main Street (Rt 5) Red House Studio and share the darkroom and digital secrets of her fine art photographs. Robert Chapla of Hidden Spring Studio and Gallery at 580 Fuller Road will host a group show of area artists along with an extensive showing of his colorful, beautifully executed American landscape paintings and ceramic sculptures. Please join us and enjoy our visual feast. For further information: Linda Bryan, Red House Studio, [email protected]
