Each year since 2008, a local philanthropic committee has come together to organize and host the Mud Ball to benefit the Haven. Mud Ball 2014 raised $40,000 for the Haven children’s summer programs. Thanks to these dollars, many children staying at the Haven and children associated with the shelter were able to take advantage of numerous wonderful summer options offered around the Upper Valley. Children thrived and enjoyed experiences that included art, nature, and adventure day camps; gardening; field trips to the ocean; mountain climbing; and strength training programs.

Take a chance on the outstanding raffle items! A sample includes a Martha’s Vineyard vacation, Simon Pearce platter ($450 value), Salomon sports gear, a week long stay at an apartment in Iceland, a Frye bag, and more.

Mud Ball, 2015, A Night of Dancing, is sponsored by Global Forest Partners LP, the Byrne Foundation, the Wright–Hager Foundation, White Mountains Insurance Group, Adimab, and Catch Data Systems. All proceeds go to the Upper Valley Haven for direct service to the Haven’s child-centered programs, dedicated to providing support to current and former Haven shelter residents.

“This night will be fun for all, thanks to the 2015 Mud Ball committee, whose members are working tirelessly to make sure the Haven’s children have enrichment opportunities every kid deserves,” says Liz Verney, Development & Communications Director, Upper Valley Haven.

Come watch local “celebrity” couples dance and compete for your votes. Professional dancers will serve as judges, but your vote counts as well. Don your glitzy glam, and come on out and dance to the music of the Party Crashers, buy raffle tickets to win fabulous prizes, eat, drink, and vote for your favorite couple!
