Support WISE of the Upper Valley by Attending the Second Annual Quechee Summer Music Festival
Aug 03, 2015 01:07PM ● By Kirsten GehlbachThe festival lineup features hand-selected powerhouse vocalists performing well-known hits from the ’50s to today. These performances are theatrical in nature, with choreographed dance routines as inspired as the music itself. Festival attendees can expect to be brought to their feet time and again as they enjoy hits from a variety of genres and artists alike, such as The Eagles; Stevie Wonder; Earth, Wind & Fire; Maroon 5; Supertramp; and Patty Labelle.
This year’s event will take place at The Queche Club Ski Area, amphitheater style. The event kicks off at 6:30pm, but many families start earlier, enjoying a picnic and perhaps opening a bottle of wine before the show starts. Tickets are available in advance or at the gate: $25 per person, $10 for students, and free for children 6 and under.
Last year’s event drew over 1,000 attendees and raised $5,000 for WISE. All ages join in the festivities to hear favorite songs performed with a contemporary twist and smooth jazz undertones while overlooking the beauty of the Ottauquechee River Valley.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds from this event will be donated to QLLA Charities, a member-run organization within Quechee Lakes that contributes to a variety of Upper Valley nonprofits.
Before the music starts, event sponsors will be honored with a cocktail social. Sponsors include Lake Sunapee Bank, The Masiello Group – Better Homes & Gardens, Cross Insurance, and Boston Financial Management, plus many other like-minded businesses.
