Here are the top 5 most active groups in the Woodstock area:

Quechee Area Camera Club (QACC)

With 59 members and counting, this is a diversified group of people who love photography and want to share ideas, knowledge, and photographs. The group welcomes everyone from beginners all the way to professionals from around the Upper Valley. Members use camera phones, point and shoots, and DSLRs. It’s all about taking photos. The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday, as well as taking several Photo Walks (field trips) each month. Every month they post several online assignments that you can participate in. The idea is to get out and try new things. Yearly dues are $22.50, and you pay on the website.

Upper Valley Trail Runners

This group is affiliated with the Upper Valley Running Club. They usually have a Thursday night group run, as well as a few spontaneous runs throughout the week. The average distance for their runs is around six miles, but they offer shorter runs as well. Most of these are social runs. Occasionally they have workouts and easy runs for beginners. This group boasts 763 members.
