Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Hope and Hazard: A Comedy of Eros, on view at the Hall Art Foundation’s galleries in Reading, Vermont from 6 May – 26 November 2017. Following a tour of the exhibition, the screening of Carnal Knowledge, selected by curator Eric Fischl, will take place at our new visitor center. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Carnal Knowledge is a thought provoking, if depressing look at the sexual attitudes and obsessions of two American men from their college days and into their 40's. The arrogant Jonathan (played by Jack Nicholson) uses women as sex objects. Sandy (played by Arthur Garfunkel) plays Jonathan's sexually uncertain college roommate who dates and later marries a beautiful college girl who Jonathan lusts after.
