Vermont Teaching Artist Collective | WOODSTOCK
Calling all Vermont teaching artists and organizations that engage teaching artists: Please join us to lend your ideas, questions and expertise to the ongoing development of the Vermont Teaching Artist Collective. The goal of this gathering is to develop more momentum and cohesion in building a statewide network that nurtures the growth and strength of Vermont’s teaching artist cohort. Eric Booth will facilitate the discussion and share examples of how other teaching artist collectives around the country are succeeding. We will start with hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and mingling for about 30 minutes, then dive into questions, such as: What is the vision for VTAC, how do we hope it will work, and what are the benefits to being engaged as a member, as either an individual teaching artist or an organization? There is no cost to be a VTAC member. What and where are the opportunities for teaching artists to be working more? What kind of professional development and support do you need to advance your teaching artist career? Who wants to help develop the Vermont Teaching Artist Collective? Email other questions about working as a teaching artist in Vermont that you want discussed at this event. There will be organizational leaders from different regions of the state to share about the teaching artist work they support, and how we can expand opportunities for teaching artists across Vermont. Please share this event with artists who want to be working as teaching artists, active teaching artists, or organizations that are or want to be engaging teaching artists. See you in Woodstock!
