Only a week old in September 2017, American Milking Devon steer calves Huck and his brother Finn came to Billings Farm to become draft animals in training. Within minutes of his arrival, Huck created a ruckus by bolting. As he ran out through the back gate and into the fields, members of the farm’s staff, volunteers, and visiting kids all gave chase but to no avail. Huck was gone.
